ACCESS – Supporting Migrants in East Anglia is committed to providing support for migrant families in the King’s Lynn and Wisbech areas.

Our team of dedicated Project Workers help literally thousands of people every year at Drop-In Advice Clinics in King’s Lynn and Wisbech as well as providing advice and support for a range of local agencies and services – from the police to schools, medical practices and businesses.

Our valuable work is overseen and ultimately managed by a Board of Trustees – and we are looking to recruit new members of that Board.

The demands on a Trustee’s times are not huge. They include a two-hour meeting every six weeks plus occasional entirely voluntary attendance at other events and meetings. Full training is available.

Our current Trustees are a diverse group from all walks of life and all ages. We are particularly looking for people with skills in Marketing, Finance and Fundraising, but the key ingredient in any Trustee is a commitment to our vision and aims – plus the drive and enthusiasm to make a difference.

The key role of the Trustee Board, however, is to maintain an overview of the organisation, working closely with the Director. This includes reviewing ACCESS’s long-term strategy and short to mid-term goals, monitoring our effectiveness in service delivery and ensuring that project workers have the resources to do their jobs effectively.

We welcome interest from all age groups, genders and backgrounds and would be particularly interested to hear from members of the communities we primarily work with – Lithuanian, Latvian and Polish.
